Remember the experiment we did on the white carnation and the celery.
We put the white carnation in a cup of red coloured water. We did the same for celery too.
After 2 days, these are our observations.
Some parts of the flower turn red! :)
This is the top view of the celery (stem) after being placed in a cup of red coloured water.. Those red dots are the water-carrying tubes of the celery. We cut the celery so as to see the
water-carrying tubes.
These observations show that stem of a plant transports water. This is one of the functions of a stem! You may try this out at home. Have fun!
